Been feeling soggy lately. Listened to this and it motivated me. Music is a great motivator. Im ready to grind!

The meaning of Saosin comes from a 15th century proverb. The belief that certain things in life are not eternal, and that it is a mistake to become overly attached to any one thing, because that thing will eventually be lost.

And in 2004 after the band’s decision to sign to Capitol Records, Saosin lost their first singer.

Cove Reber then emerged as the band’s new permanent lead vocalist. Regardless of who you prefer, since then the band has released 3 EPs, 2 full length albums and have toured all over the world with bands such as Incubus, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, and Avenged Sevenfold.

And if you’ve had the fuckin amazing opportunity to go to any of the last few Warped Tours then you probably have already seen them rockin out on stage.

This amazing photo was taken by John Idano. Idano took this picture in July when the south swell was slamming southern Cali. This picture won Idano the Surfline User-Submitted Photo Challenge for July.

The timing was just perfect, and Idano caught the gnarle magnitude of this unforgiving wave at the Wedge (Newport Beach).

John’s victory earns him a Reef clothing and sandal pack, as well as a chance to win a free trip to the Reef Hawaii Pro at Haleiwa in November. Emilio Morenatti, an AP photographer got his cot damned left leg blown off documenting the mayhem in Afghanistan. But that didn’t stop homie from doing his job. Peep the pic, Emilio is still doin’ work, just minutes after his leg was amputated! NO DAZE OFF!

Emilio’s got tremendous love and passion for his art and craft. He literally puts his blood, sweat, tears, soul, and limbs on the table. All of you out there should take notes and get involved.
